Ed Okorn, GM, North America, appointed member of ASA Foundation Board

 We are pleased to announce the acceptance of Ed Okorn, General Manager, North America, as a board member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) Foundation Board. This appointment allows GRAS to further their philanthropic commitment to the acoustics community and to the advancement of the field of acoustics.

 

news okorn newThe Acoustical Society Foundation Fund supports ASA’s scholarships, grants, fellowships, and other special programs to provide assistance to thousands of acousticians in the pursuit of their research and education. In this position as a full board member of The Acoustical Society Foundation Fund, Mr. Okorn will be working with other members of the organization to raise funds and support ongoing initiatives that will help ASA to fulfill its role in the world of acoustics.

Mr. Okorn is the General Manager of North America for GRAS Sound & Vibration A/S of Denmark and has over 25 years of experience in Test & Measurement/Sensors industry and is formally trained in Engineering & Physics and has an MBA. He has full P&L responsibility for all North American operations including product, service and calibration sales, marketing, tradeshows, and managing the strategic accounts and distribution networks.
